Blue Sky

  • Why the three cones at the bottom of your driveway in the middle picture? I don't think they will help stop you if you go sliding down. :o)

  • Not for us going down -- more to prevent people from coming up (in case it is icy). The mailwoman comes to mind. She tried to drive her mail van UP, lost it, slid down and into the left side (looking from the top), which was ok. If she slipped to the right side, she would have gone over. You flat-driveway folk wouldn't know of such things. =)

  • Good thinking! We have three bolders at the bottom of our driveway. Just the opposite of yours. We climb out and slide in. You slide out and climb in. Our bolders allow some one sliding out of control down our drivewqy the option between crashing in to the bolders or going on down to the bottom of Rickey Canyon.

  • Great options! Probably won't see that person a second time.
We usually put out the cones just after throwing, in case it is slick then. Once black and dry we just stack to the side.
Did you see this on KREM TV? It's on Freya in Spokane.

  • I'm just writing about a plane that got totalled by landing over an "earth wall" banked up to stop cars from driving past. Cones are much safer!

Not that I think either of you are likely to have planes landing on your driveway.

It's raining like crazy here but still warm. On Thursday Connor and I are *hopefully* flying to London Luton if things don't shut down again. There's plenty of snow for us there.
